In a significant breakthrough for Indian law enforcement, Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of infamous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been nabbed in the United States.
Anmol Bishnoi Accused in High-Profile Crimes
Anmol Bishnoi faced allegations surround his involvement in several high-profile crimes, including the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala as well as the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique last month. Bishnoi was arrested after an international manhunt was conducted.

Apart from the high-profile crimes, he was also a suspect in the firing incident outside the home of Bollywood actor Salman Khan earlier this year.

Anmol Bishnoi was also the target of a Red Corner Notice from Interpol, making his arrest a priority across the world. Bishnoi was thought to be hiding in Canada before he was found in the US.
Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol’s brother, heads the Bishnoi gang, notorious for targeted killings, organized crime, and terror funding. The gang gained national attention following Moosewala’s murder, which shocked the country and highlighted its growing influence.
Threats Against Salman Khan Heighten Concerns
The shooting outside Salman Khan’s home further escalated concerns, with threats allegedly tied to Lawrence Bishnoi and linked to the actor’s involvement in the 1998 blackbuck hunting case. Security measures for Salman Khan were intensified after the incident.
Investigations Into Extremist Ties
The gang is also under scrutiny for alleged recruitment and funding of extremist activities. Anmol Bishnoi was added to the National Investigation Agency’s most-wanted list, with a ₹10 lakh reward announced for information leading to his arrest. His detention is expected to provide key intelligence on the gang’s global operations.
