Assam Kaziranga University’s DIKHARAMBH Program
Dr. Nitin Kulkarni, Director of the Rain Forest Research Institute (RFRI), Jorhat delivered an inspiring address as a Guest Speaker at the DIKHARAMBH program of The Assam Kaziranga University on August 22, 2024. The event, which marks the beginning of the academic year, provided an opportunity for students to hear from prominent leaders and experts in various fields.
“Forests are our lifelines,” Dr. Kulkarni stated, highlighting the integral role that forests play in maintaining ecological balance and supporting biodiversity. He underscored the urgent need for conservation efforts, especially in light of the escalating threats from climate change and deforestation.

Dr. Kulkarni’s speech centered on the critical importance of environmental awareness and sustainable living, aligning with the global Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) initiative. He emphasized the role that young students can play in protecting forests and the environment, urging them to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
