Eligibility Criteria

Students who have passed the HSLC (Class 10) examination from recognized boards are eligible to apply for HS 1st Year admissions. Applicants can choose from various streams, including Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational courses, offered by institutions affiliated with ASSEB.

Application Process

To apply for higher secondary 1st Year admission through the DARPAN portal, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Portal: Go to darpan.ahseconline.in.
2. Register: Click on “Register a New Account” and fill in the required personal and educational details.
3. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents (see list below).
4. Set Login PIN: Choose a 4-digit Login PIN and complete the registration.
5. Login: Return to the portal and log in using your credentials.
6. Select Institutions: Choose up to five institutions in order of preference.
7. Submit Application: Review all details and submit the application.
8. Print Application: Take a printout of the submitted form for future reference.​

Institutional Participation

Institutions intending to participate in the higher secondary 1st Year admission process must ensure their profiles are updated on the DARPAN portal. New institutions with valid ASSEB codes should register using the token number provided by ASSEB. During registration or profile updates, institutions must provide their UDISE code (for HS/Senior Secondary Schools) or AISHE code (for Degree Colleges).​
