Karan Arjun Shoot Recalled : Rakesh Roshan shares memories

In the early years of their film careers, the Karan Arjun of Bollywood, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan shared a peculiar sense of humor. The two have been pals for more than 30 years. Rakesh Roshan, the director of Karan Arjun, was recently questioned about the incident in which Salman feigned shooting at Shah Rukh after a fictitious dispute, causing Shah Rukh to collapse and act as though he had been struck by a bullet. They were shocked because no one around them knew about their skit.

According to a report by Indian Express, Rakesh was asked about this  incident during the shoot of Karan Arjun , in a conversation with Galatta India. Rakesh recalled that this happened during one of the get togethers that the team would host in the evening after the shoot. “We used to have fun in the evenings. The whole unit would sit together. Salman aaya aur isne aise hi goli maar di aur Shah Rukh gir gaya (Salman came and he just casually shot a bullet, and Shah Rukh fell.)”

Rakesh recalls his reaction

Rakesh recalled his first reaction after his incident and said, “Maine bola yeh kya kiahai? Yeh kya hua? (I asked what just happened?).” We were all seated when they first argued and then acted out the entire situation. Rakesh said that after  this entire scene, Rakesh cautioned them to be careful about the jokes they were telling because they could have gone serious, and Shah Rukh got up from the floor.

I remember I said aise mat kia karo yaar. Yeh koi mazak hai? (Don’t do this. Is this a joke?) This is a very serious thing. Someone might get a shock and die on the set. But they were kids at that time,” he recalled.

Salman Khan Shares Nostalgia

In a previous visit on Aap Ki Adalat, Salman revealed that he had borrowed a gun from the action that was empty of bullets and was feeling like playing a  joke on everyone. I said to Shah Rukh, ‘If you don’t come for a dance, we’ll fight and I’ll give you a blank pistol. I will shoot you, and you will collapse. Shah Rukh said, “My brother Sohail was there. He said he was tired and not in the mood.” Shah Rukh snatched his hand away when I pulled it. After he shoved me and I shoved him back, there was a fight, so I pulled out my gun and shot him.
