If you are a fan of the timeless classic Karan Arjun, it’s time you buckled up to bawl your eyes out one more time as the fan favourite movie is all set to return to the silver screens on November 22, 2024. The classic, directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, the 90s classic remains a fan favorite to this day.

Giving audiences a dollop of nostalgia, Salman Khan, Rakesh Roshan and other team members shared the film’s trailer today, on November 12. The trailer features a voiceover by Hrithik Roshan, catching everyone’s attention. The 1-minute, 47-second long trailer witnesses actor Rakhee Gulzar in the iconic role of mother, waiting for the reincarnation of her sons Karan and Arjun, who were killed by the iconic villain Thakur Durjan Singh, played by legendary late actor Amrish Puri.
The trailer opens with Hrithik’s narration of the story. “Kuch bandhan aise hote hain, jinke liye ek janam poora nahi hota. Kuch badle aise hote hain, jinke liye ek janam poora nahi hai. Kuch kahaaniya aisi hoti hain, jinke liye ek janam poora nahi hota. Aur kuch log aise hote hain jinke liye ek janam poora nahi hota,” he is heard saying in the trailer.
Salman Khan took to social media platform X to post the trailer, “World Wide Re-Release on 22nd November,” read the caption.
Hrithik Roshan Shares Heartfelt Note
Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan, took to his Instagram to share an incident from when his father, Rakesh Roshan, was building the groundwork for one of India’s most renowned films.
“That afternoon in 1992 ( I think) when we were all sitting around dads living room with the writers brainstorming on the screenplay for KARAN ARJUN, after another long spell of silence in the room ( sometimes these silences lasted more than 10-15 mins) and suddenly dad went “ ek idea aaya “
Hrithik, who was only 17 at that time, shares his nostalgia further adding, “and he went on to tell us how he saw the beats of the interval fight sequence , and as he talked , his emotions escalated and at the height of the crescendo in his mind he shouted “ and then he screams भाग अर्जुन !!!! bhaaaaaag अर्जुन !!!! And me as a 17 year old experienced my first jolt of audience euphoria !!! My hair stood on ends, the room was applauding like in a movie theatre ! And I was addicted from that day onwards !!
And that’s also when I knew in my bones that this movie was going to be a BLOCKBUSTER!!

On November 22, the highly anticipated movie will be released worldwide. The re-release of the movie coincides with the trend of re-releasing classics like Veer Zara, Laila Majnu, Kuch Kuch Hota hai, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The second-highest-grossing Indian film of 1995 was Karan Arjun, which came out in January. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Amrish Puri, was the only film to surpass its success.
Although the re-released version’s advance booking date has not yet been revealed, all the social media enthusiasts have already expressed interest in attending the opening day of the event. Based on the feedback from the audience, it is anticipated that the film will break all the records and surpass the Rs 100 crore mark. Tickets for the film will be available on Paytm or Book My Show.
