Mission Impossible film franchise fans need to fasten their seatbelts as the final film of the franchise, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Paramount Pictures has released their first teaser trailer. The much awaited film will be released worldwide on May 23, 2025.

As the final film of the Mission Impossible franchise releases its teaser trailer, fans are not able to hold their excitement. The eighth film of the Mission Impossible franchise was originally planned for a 2022 release. However, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike. In the previous film, Dead Reckoning, Ethan Hunt faced off against a powerful Al program called ‘The Entity’, which can predict his every move.
The upcoming movie will see Hunt continuing to chase down ‘The Entity’, which is hidden in a Russian submarine, while also dealing with a returning enemy, Gabriel (played by Esai Morales). The cast includes returning actors Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, and many more.
Tom Cruise’s character, IMF agent Ethan Hunt, is shown in the exciting teaser video continuing his fight against the formidable AI known as “the Entity,” continuing where Dead Reckoning Part One of 2022 left off. In the two-minute teaser, he runs through different environments. The 62-year-old actor is shown pursuing and possibly even catching an airplane at one point. He can be seen rushing from an explosion in a tunnel and battling with a knife in other scenes.
In another scene, Tom Cruise, who is one of Hollywood’s most popular action stars, also hangs off the side of a plane during a mid-air fight between two aeroplanes. At the end of the teaser , we can see Tom Cruise telling his team, “I need you to trust me.”

The Hollywood action hero also took to social media platform, Instagram to share the news of the teaser trailer of the film being out. “Every choice has led to this.

In another post , sharing the teaser trailer on Instagram itself, Tom Cruise wrote, “Our lives are the sum of our choices. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. See you at the movies May 23, 2025.”
